GHIACCIAIO DELL'ADAMELLO - ADAMELLO GLACIER
Il ghiacciaio dell'Adamello è un ghiacciaio che si trova in alta Val Camonica, a cavallo tra la regione Lombardia ed ilTrentino-Alto Adige. È il più vasto ghiacciaio delle Alpi italiane ed è compreso tra una quota massima di 3530 m s.l.m.ed una quota minima di 2550 m s.l.m.. Durante il primo conflitto mondiale, tra i settori operativi della Guerra Bianca, il settore Adamello-Presanella fu quello che ebbe il peso strategico maggiore, registrando azioni belliche e gli eventi più significativi; sono questi i motivi per cui si individua la Guerra Bianca in Adamello-Presanella come tema di particolare approfondimento per il Diploma Radioamatoriale GBA.
Adamello Glacier is located in Val Camonica, between the region of Lombardy and Trentino-Alto Adige. It is the largest glacier in the Italian Alps and it is between a maximum altitude of 3530 m and a minimum altitude of 2550 m above sea level. During the First World War, in the operating area of the White War, the sector Adamello-Presanella was the greater strategic location, recording acts of war and the most significant events; these are the reasons why you find in special focus the White War in Adamello-Presanella as main theme of Amateur Radio Award "GBA".
